In addition to family, personal friends, co-workers and members of various associations, Woody had many hundreds of friends he’d never met — but who came to know and admire Woody for his skills, dedication and his many years of sharing his talents and experiences with others.
He’ll be missed by them all.

My experence with Woody was throught the internet world of Proto 48. A consumnet humanbeing and a privlage to know and share the ongoings of model railroading and life in general.
The world is a little less brighter without his illumination in it. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Sincerely,

Woody will be remembered for the good times we spent together. How could I have known that his beautiful P:48 switching layout where my SW ran would become a constant reminder of Woody in my own home! I was touched by his genuine appreciation for my son helping him understand laser engraving, which he hoped to use to make casting patterns. My last visit with him at the nursing home left me smiling as I thought about his unusual character–unchanged by the disease and ravages of the cancer. He was always the same Woody. RIP old friend. We miss you.

Woody was my neighbor for 3 1/2 years. We lived @Arcadia apartments in Indianapolis. He was a great neighbor to have right next door. We looked out for each other. I would knock on his door and ask him to walk with me across the street (I hated to cross those busy streets by myself) he would always go w/ me. I liked the times during warm summer and spring evenings,we would sit on the balcony with some refreshments and enjoy the music that Woody would be playing on his stereo. I will miss him very much. I think of him often.
